Cody Parsons-O'Brien
About
Twenty years.
One more beginning.
Cody P. is a Spokane-based singer-songwriter writing atmospheric alternative from the Pacific Northwest — textured, vulnerable, and built on two decades of lived experience.
After more than twenty years making music, Cody Parsons-O'Brien — performing as Cody P. — is in a new chapter. Not a reboot for its own sake, but a deliberate redefinition: of sound, of self, and of what honesty can sound like when the noise falls away.
Sobriety changed the frame. The songs got quieter in the best way — more space, more texture, more room for the truth to sit unadorned. What remains is atmospheric alternative rooted in introspective songwriting: vulnerability without spectacle, production that breathes, and stories that don't flinch.
Based in Spokane and shaped by the Pacific Northwest, Cody is rebuilding with fresh inspiration, new band members, and a catalog that keeps growing — from early singles through Life Path Number Four and Under Way to the latest release, Couple Doubles. The influences run wide (Dirty Heads, The Expendables, Atmosphere, Katastro, Nathan Chartrey, Brandon Hart), but the voice is unmistakably his.
This is the comeback that doesn't shout. It just tells the truth — and invites you to listen.
